Entrepreneurship is Wealth Creation

Success in entrepreneurship does not come over night, it takes years of hard work, sleepless nights and sacrifices to build something that’s sustainable and of value. Much like wealth creation, that involves long term thinking, planning and execution which leads to wealth creation resulting in financial independence. Entrepreneurs like the wealthy are not necessarily flashy like the rich who spend on all kinds of luxuries to validate a social status.

The Difference Between  Being Rich and Being Wealthy

Efficiency Trap

Doing more or getting more done is not necessarily efficient and definitely not productive. As more means quantity and when one goes for quantity, quality is compromised. To be efficient one needs to do less, be more focused, complete the task or project before switching to anything new.

How Small Businesses Can Break From The Efficiency Trap

EV Trends

The premium price factor of EV scooters that was considered a barrier for consumers to buy one in the initial days, and then  the introduction of some cheaper variants that did get the buy in but nothing disruptive or large enough, is now fading. Often with any technology the price to benefits understanding and the adoption there on, takes time, so has it in the EV space.

Consumers want sturdy electric scooters, and don’t mind paying more; EV makers take note

Failed Ideas

A number of factors are involved in succeeding with an idea. A right team, a right execution plan and most importantly right timing. Sometimes the team and the execution may be perfect and yet an idea does not take off, and that is solely the case of the idea being launched before it’s time. Such ideas must not be given away for good, but must be stacked up someplace, so as to return to it at a future time.

Habits

Having meaningful habits as a daily routine is very important. Taking walks is one such habit that not only helps with health and fitness but also helps in solving problems or challenges that one may be facing in any other area of their life. Apart from providing solutions to one’s problems, walks also help in working our creativity and ideation resulting in breakthrough ideas.

Ideation

Idea generation is a skill that can be developed. It’s never about getting the perfect idea right away, that’s rare. To begin with one must focus on one problem within a time frame to list down as many ideas as possible. It’s important to be non-judgmental of the ideas and just list them. Trying to solve a problem with one perfect idea, is a longer process and may not even result in success. Quality is important, but the time to focus on making a quality product or service comes only after dealing with a quantity of ideas and validate them.

Law of Diffusion

A great product is not enough to make an idea, startup or a business successful. Timing and strategy for every phase of the idea in the graph of the Law of Diffusion is critical to succeed.

Optimism

Positive energy and beliefs are what keeps teams moving even in uncertain times. Leadership getting cautious due to lack of clarity in uncertain times can lead into the culture of the company, resulting in status quo and downturn eventually. Leadership must maintain strong beliefs in their vision and spread positive energy within the company not just in presentations and meetings but on a daily basis in all kinds of interactions.

The Leadership Practice that keeps Teams moving in Uncertain Times

Planning With A Future Use Case Mindset

Products and services need to be updates with times to stay relevant for growth, else everything may look fine and working, but it may actually be stalling the business as the offering has reached a ceiling by servicing the target market and unable to grow further. Developing products must also be done with a mindset of scalability and building for the future, else it’s just a waste as it may require scrapping and building again from scratch.

Invisible Growth Blockers

Procrastination

We procrastinate because of our emotions, when we are not emotionally willing to do a task important or not, we are bound to procrastinate. When we are emotionally down, we are least motivated to take action, but that’s exactly what we need to do, take action. Action builds momentum and motivation.

Procrastination is less of a time management problem, and more of an emotional management problem

Solar energy harnessed from solar panels on roof tops is an efficient use of probably unused space, however solar farms built over large land area is expensive keeping in mind the reality cost of those areas. Solar panels in space that capture and beam the energy to ground stations, free up the land area which probably can be put to other uses, but the cost building, shipping and maintaining space based solar farms is another important point to consider.
